In 2019, 870 families suffered a fatal loss due to drowning in the United States. Texas consistently leads the country in number of drownings per year. Through strong collaborative partnerships, educating families, and teaching key prevention strategies through our water safety programs we believe all drownings are preventable. The Fort Worth Drowning Prevention Coalition is a community nonprofit organization whose mission is to prevent fatal and non-fatal drownings in the Fort Worth area and beyond.
